Communication Arts designed the original identification for The Everyday Gourmet and over the years developed and applied it environmentally in a number of ways. Sometimes presented in hand-carved relief or custom-cut letterforms, the logotype was also interpreted in reverse-cut metal with backwash lighting against tiles. Etched-look vinyl applied to windows distinctively confirmed the gourmet gift shop brand on a pedestrian level, while hand-sewn quilts conveniently enabled identification at off-premises events such as trade shows.
