The 300-acre campus of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science is prominently positioned at the intersection of an interstate and a state highway in view of 100,000 drivers each day. Communication Arts worked with the Museum to capitalize on this uniquely affordable opportunity to direct visitors to its door by developing permanent landmark signage for installation on the perimeter fence.

The 100-foot sign is repeated on perpendicular sections of the wrought iron fence for presentation to both highways.

Solid panels of bright blue contrast the park environment and the Museum’s logotype.

Oversized cutouts of animal and plant shapes are silhouetted in black along the fence.

A bright arrow directs visitor attention toward the gate and to temporary exhibit banners that also frequent the same fence line.
