Preparing to enter the fresh retail marketplace, this Mississippi grower of prime shiitake mushrooms called upon Communication Arts for label design. Drawing upon the shiitake’s natural forms of rolled edge and delicate gills, Communication Arts defined a functional label design for mass reproduction and series development. A natural, earthy beige combined with burnt orange, sky blue, or moss green in metallic inks gives the label a subtly reflective quality in the retail environment. Labels include Premium Shiitake, Baby Takiis, and Stuff & Serve Shiitake.
