The exhibits of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum were a joint venture of Communication Arts Company and Hollomon Architects. With only an informal listing of the then 167 members of the Hall of Fame, Communication Arts set about conducting the necessary research to produce displays, media, and interactive materials. Our team of researchers canvassed the state, interviewing and taping every living member of the Hall of Fame. For non-surviving members, our researchers interviewed family, coaches, or associates to gather the stories of Mississippi’s rich sports heritage.

In the process Communication Arts collected more than 350 artifacts for display, assembled more than 800 hours of video interviews, and compiled a searchable database that has become a resource for sportswriters worldwide.
