
“Dignified,” “professional,” “not flashy” were terms used by the century-old law firm Watkins & Eager as it balanced the development of its first web presence against the profession’s historic tradition of announcement-not-advertising. Communication Arts worked to visually establish the website as a simple and easily updatable storefront that reflected Watkins & Eager’s long term commitment. The design provided for understated display of the distinguished accomplishments of the firm’s extensive assemblage of members.



...and a small collection of current and archival images of the firm’s landmark building in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, the site’s elegant format permits timely updates on the home page for announcements and news items.

All pages are lean and fast-loading with glimpses of the interior spaces of the firm’s building. Typographic styling complements imagery and coordinates well with print pieces also developed for the firm.


Biographical profile pages for each member are individually prepared and editable with coordinating links to specialties and practice areas.
The site was in place from 2003 to 2009.
