
Communication Arts’ simple twist on spelling spawned this design for three architects. Strategically placed classic letterforms formally occupy a square, while a unique central character takes a quirky spin. Primary colors play importantly throughout versatile two-color operational materials.




The firm’s three-foot-square exterior sign of quarter-inch raw mild steel reveals the wordmark through various tooling and abrasion techniques along its border. Brightly painted, laser-cut steel initials of the three principals add dimension to the dull raw steel surface, which will gain patina over time.
